Why should I invest in stock market?

In case of buy/sell transaction, portfolio statement and transaction statement would be sent after the conclusion of the trading day. Portfolio statement would normally be sent quarterly through email in absence of trading. It can also be obtained through requisition by the client.

Yes, investors can withdraw funds from their investment plans both during and after the slated period. Withdrawing funds during the investment period may incur an early exit fee.

In portfolio management, discretionary account gives a broker/ portfolio manager permission to make investment decisions on behalf of the investor according to the agreed investment mandate.

In a non- discretionary account, the owner/investor makes the investment decision and broker/portfolio manager only executes the buy/sell order

For non-discretionary accounts, margin loan facility is offered to qualified investors.

An investor’s margin account contains securities bought with a combination of the investor’s own money and money that was borrowed from the investor’s merchant bank. A margin call is a request for funds from a broker/ portfolio manager when the percentage of an investor’s equity in a margin account falls below the broker’s required amount.

No, due to regulatory requirements, a BO account can be opened only when paired with the investor’s bank account.

Bangladeshi nationals living abroad can open a BO account submitting necessary documents supporting his/her residence status.

PLFS invests fund in primary/secondary equity shares of publicly traded companies in Bangladesh as well as in bonds / treasury bills/ deposit in scheduled banks.

Yes, as an investor you can trade in both DSE and CSE using the same BO account.

To place a buy/sell order a client can communicate via phone/ email or visit physically. Alternatively one can also use the mobile trading application from the broker.

As par regulations, as a local investor a client is not allowed to invest in foreign stock markets.
