PLFS Investments Limited, a full-fledged Merchant Baker, was incorporated as a Private Limited Company under the Companies Act 1994 on June 03, 1998. The Company commenced its operation from June 03, 1998 and obtained registration from Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission as a Full-Fledged Merchant Bank on August 31, 1999. PLFS Investments Limited is a concern of People’s Leasing and Financial Services Limited (PLFS) to conduct merchant banking activities and play active role in the capital market of Bangladesh. PLFS, at present, holds 83% shares of PLFS Investments Limited.
After being seventeen years in merchant banking operation, in the year 2016, the corporate management of the company is totally revamped to take a leadership role in the capital market of Bangladesh. Since then the company is routing to a successful trajectory. Current management of the company boasts highly competent individuals from versatile arena.

PLFS Investments Limited obtained registration from Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) as Merchant Bank on August 31, 1999.
The company is under new Board leadership from 2022.

Mr. Prashanta Bhushon Barua is currently the Chairman (Hon'ble High Court appointed) of PLFS Investments Limited.
Bangladesh Supreme Court Advocate Mr. Barua is educated and trained both in Bangladesh and the UK. He obtained LL. B ( Hon), LL.M from University of Dhaka and 2nd LL.M from centre for commercial law studies, Queen Mary, University of London.
Mr. Barua is a fully fledged member of Charted Institute of Arbitration,UK, Law Asia and Commonwealth Legal Education Association.

Mr. Dwipak Kumar Ghosh is the Chief Executive Officer of PLFS Investments Limited.
Mr. Dwipak is a highly experienced professional with a successful track record who has held different positions with different capacities in his 18-year career in the emerging industry of Bangladesh capital markets.
Mr. Dwipak has an MS in statistics from Jahangirnagar University. Afterward, he completed the CCFA (CRISL Certified Financial Analyst) program as well.

Mr. Abul Hasnat Md Ariful Islam FCA, a Senior Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) has more than 12 years’ industry experience in ERP implementation, process automation, implementation of a sound internal control system, IPO issues etc.
He served different companies in the role of Independent Director including Copper Tech Industries Ltd and Rakeen Development Company Limited (Foreign Investment Company).
Presently, Mr. Islam is working as Group Chief Financial Officer for TEAM Group, a 600-million-dollar annual revenue conglomerate employing 22000 people in 14 companies across 6 sectors, with the bulk of the operations being in the RMG Sector.

Mr. Md. Shafiqur Rahman’s main areas of practice are: Admiralty, Corporate, Commercial, Securities, Banking, Insurance, Judicial Review (Writ) and International Arbitration.
He is the lawyer on retainer for Dhaka Stock Exchange, advising on capital market and securities law.
He is also the lawyer on retainer for Popular Life Insurance Company (advising on insurance law and company affairs) and Epic Group (advising on commercial law and international trade).
He is currently contributing to four companies as Court-appointed independent director.
He is frequently appointed “amicus curiae” by the Company Bench of the High Court Division in critical cases to assist the court in arriving at correct judicial decisions.

Mr. Dwipak Kumar Ghosh is the Chief Executive Officer of PLFS Investments Limited.
Mr. Dwipak is a highly experienced professional with a successful track record who has held different positions with different capacities in his 18-year career in the emerging industry of Bangladesh capital markets. Currently, he has furnished his responsibilities as an integral part of all departments at an investment bank.
Mr. Dwipak, as a proven dynamic leader, has engaged himself in the diversified allocation of assets contained in the portfolios and has gathered vast experience in investment banking and similar fields.
Mr. Dwipak has an MS in statistics from Jahangirnagar University. Afterward, he completed the CCFA (CRISL Certified Financial Analyst) program as well. He has attended a number of seminars, training, leadership management, and skill development programs at home and abroad. Mr. Dwipak has also traveled to countries for strategic business and meeting purposes.
He is connected with many social and benevolent organizations.
